Child-Parent Psychotherapy is an intervention that targets infants, non-verbal children and parents who have experienced trauma together (domestic violence, stressful living environment, substance abuse or accidents). It involves child-parent attachment repair, play therapy and trauma recovery therapy.
Children and adolescents age 6 and up have rights to privacy and these policies are strictly enforced. Interventions and assessments for children are industry approved and based on research outcomes. The treatment approach is integrative of various modalities such as family counseling, play therapy and behavior activation and modification, and based on assessment outcomes.
